Coast & Country can offer you so much more than just a place to live
We’ve brought Regent House back to life, and here's how…
In 2014 we embarked upon one of our most ambitious Empty Homes projects yet.
Through a partnership between Coast & Country and Darlington Borough Council the transformation of Regent House has seen the conversion of a disused office block to modern, vibrant accommodation in the heart of Darlington Town Centre.
Regent House has been transformed into 47 one-bedroomed apartments, providing high quality, affordable homes for local people. With the town centre, direct rail links to the Nation’s capital and more, along with a host of amenities on its doorstep, Regent House is in an excellent location and offers so much more than a place to live.
Regent House is innovative in so many ways and boasts a whole host of additional benefits, making it a unique and enriching place to live. As part of Coast & Country’s wider Digital Inclusion programme, Click Start, and our commitment to supporting residents to get online, we have launched our first WiFi pilot here at Regent House. Residents of Regent House have affordable WiFi access from the comfort of their own home, with the added advantage that the first six months are free of charge.
The apartments are also fitted with a low-cost, environmentally friendly communal heating system. This provides an efficient, affordable and low maintenance service for residents with fast and convenient payment options. And that’s not all, we also have a dedicated Money and Benefits Advice Team that provide support and guidance to customers on a range of money matters including budgeting, debt prevention, welfare benefits and getting the best deals on gas and electricity deals and much more.
People that choose to live in Regent House will get so much more than a place to call home, they will become part of a community that builds stronger relationships and supports people to lead interesting and fulfilling lives. At Coast & Country, we are so much more than a landlord. We are known for our innovative and dynamic approach to supporting the people in our communities and we have a vast number of opportunities, activities and services on offer.
Regent House was officially opened on 4th June 2015.
