We do things differently!
Tees Valley & Durham has been selected as one of the first 5 eligible aeas to receive a share of funding from the European Social Fund. Coast & Country are the main project partner for Redcar & Cleveland and have provided match funding to get fully behind this initiative and make a real difference to the future of skills and jobs in the area.
The project, called New Directions, will support people aged 15 to 29 who are not in education, employment or training with specialist support, information advice and guidance, training, mentoring, apprenticeships, job placements and further education to help these young people meet the needs of local employers.
We have a proven track record of matching jobseekers to the needs of a business. Our own company and our supply chain boast many benefits to nurturing the talent of tomorrow.
Do you have the resources to take your business into the future?
Many businesses are in danger of not having readily available skills and resources when they need them. With an aging workforce comes a higher level of staff turnover through retirement. This means valuable knowledge and expertise is taken away, putting the future of the business at higher risk. At present, there is a higher number of young people out of work in the local area based against the national average; which has been on the increase since 2005. Whilst opportunities are being created for young people, we can do so much more by working together.
